The Young Investigator Symposium is an emerging tradition of the MOF conference, and is a high-profile opportunity for students, postdoctoral researchers, and young faculty members to showcase their research before a diverse and global audience. This edition of the one-day symposium will feature a series of short, invited and contributed presentations and opportunities for informal discussions throughout the day.

Accommodation is available on-site, with options also available within walking distance of the Novotel. More details will be provided when abstract submission opens.
Rotorua is one of the premier tourism destinations within New Zealand, and attendees are encouraged to explore the unique culture and natural scenery of the region.
There are many tourist attractions in and near Rotorua; including the Hobbiton Movie Set located an hours drive away in Matamata.
Short (half-day) excursions to nearby regions are currently being planned.
Transport to Rotorua
We ask all attendees to organize their own transport to the Young Investigator Symposium.
Rotorua is readily accessible from Auckland by bus (approx. 3.5 hours) or air (approx. 45 min).
